The biggest problem that many people face is related to keeping their oven clean. A dish may spill when taking it out, and years of abuse may begin to finally add up. Using Elbow Grease
If you are loath to using expensive cleaners that are designed to cut through the oil that has firmly hardened and leftovers that are still stuck on the surface, you should consider using elbow grease. Elbow grease is simple and readily available. Though most ovens even have a self-cleaning feature, it’s still a better option for cleaning an oven. Elbow grease doesn’t require a long time to clean out the inside of the oven; you simply have to apply it around the sides, making sure to leave out the heating parts, and leave it overnight. Before applying the elbow grease, add a bit of baking soda to the mixture, along with a small amount of water. Use a damp cloth to wipe the oven clean, and clean the exposed parts with vinegar.
If you don’t want to scrub your oven yourself, there’s also a common method that involves no scrubbing whatsoever. Simply preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius, and then turn it off. Open up the oven, put a plate of ammonia on the middle shelf and a plate of boiling water on the bottom shelf. Shut the door and leave it overnight, and then use a simple sponge to clean out the grime in the morning.
Regardless of the cleaning procedure you choose or the chemicals that you use, it’s imperative that you take certain safety measures before you start cleaning out your oven. Avoid mixing ammonia with any other cleaner that contains bleach. Also, before you start cleaning, take care that you turn off the pilot light and the gas. Ideally, it’s best if you set a schedule for periodically cleaning out your oven to make sure that it doesn’t get too dirty.
